Re: Smith - off to a good start
Have been contacted by Smiths regarding non payment of management fees that they have no record of but I have a receipt from Veris , having paid last December, anybody else been double billed, I hope this is just an oversight and not a common problem

Re: Smith - off to a good start
See Smiths have painted the outside wall along the Park Avenue apartments in Block 1...paintwork was looking very scuffed so it looks really well now. Brilliant!

Re: Smith - off to a good start
A group of residents did it on Saturday morning. Painted over the graffitti on the hoarding and cleaned off the graffitti on the bus stop, balconies and windows down main street. It was great craic and we got to meet our neighbours. Going to do the courtyard in B1 next!

Yep Buttons... that was us.
I did notice however Smith did something very sensible at the entrance to the B1 car-park. They built a metal housing around the beam sensors to prevent tampering with. This is what was causing the gates to be constantly broken. This was such a simple and cost effective solution which if Veris had any cop on it would have saved months of call-outs to fix those gates.

Re: Smith - off to a good start
You know, as soon as I had posted that, I saw the thread about the clean up that was done on Sat and I wondered if it was you guys instead! Fair play to everyone involved. The outside looks so much better - it really makes a difference! Haven't been around here a lot lately so didn't realise when it had been done!
Great news about the car park gates as well...hopefully this will help reduce the cost of fixing the gates.
Thanks again guys

Re: Smith - off to a good start
smith cut the grass in the back of block 18 last wk. There is a problem with the motor on the grass cutter now but the rest of the area will be complete when its fixed. I was talkin to the janitor today and he was sayin signs will be going up soon bout dumping bags beside the bins and exit doors. They really seem to want to sort this all out. Eircom are also laying cables in block 18 now.
